“Days of our Lives” actor Brandon Barash and his wife have welcomed their second child, a son named Joaquin Lee Barash. Barash announced the news on Instagram, sharing a photo of the newborn and revealing that Joaquin was born on September 15, 2023, weighing 7 lbs and 5 oz. The actor explained that they chose the name Joaquin to honor his late father and his wife’s Hispanic heritage. Barash’s first child, Harper, is from a previous relationship with Kirsten Storms. The couple’s friends and fellow actors sent their congratulations on the happy news.

Sharing a photo of the proud parents with their new bundle of joy, Brandon captioned his Instagram post with, “Joaquin Lee Barash arrived on the planet on 9.15.23. A mighty name for a mighty boy…to honor my (departed but never gone) father, Jerry Lee Barash, as well as my wife’s Hispanic heritage. We. Are. Smitten…and forever changed. Through your birth, lil man, we are reborn. Our family is mightier, our ocean of love runs deeper and more fierce. School’s back in session.”
Of course, it didn’t take long at all for his fans and his followers to share all of their congratulatory messages. Some of them, including his Days of Our Lives co-star Jen Lilley wrote in his comments section, “Also he is soooooo cute! And we all know most babies aren’t right out of the gate.”

Brandon also shared a photo of his daughter Harper holding her baby brother for the first time. As many daytime television fans already know, Harper is Brandon’s child from his marriage to General Hospital star Kirsten Storms. The ex-couple divorced back in 2016.
