‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Greg Rikaart (Leo Stark) Shares Preparing to Work with Steve Burton and Struggling with the New Writers of ‘DOOL’ on Daily Drama Podcast

One of ‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers’ favorite character is Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart). His energy and charisma is nearly unmatched and he’s always fun to watch.

So when Greg appeared on the Daily Drama Podcast with Steve Burton (Harris Michaels on ‘DOOL’) and Bradford Anderson (Damian Spinelli on ‘General Hospital’), we were looking forward to hearing some stories and his career rise.

They talked about a lot of things, but two that really got our attention was the mutual respect they all have, but especially between Steve and Greg when they talked about working with each other.

Greg also talked about some of his struggles with adjusting to the new temporary writers on ‘Days of Our Lives’.

‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers – Raising their game

In one of the coolest exchanges, Steve and Greg shared a mutual respect with each other from their time working together on ‘The Young and the Restless” and recently on ‘Days of Our Lives’.

Greg explained first that whenever he saw he’d be working with Steve, he knew he had to bring his A game because Steve was always prepared, and Steve said the same about him, talking about how Greg is always professional.

It made the work fun for them because it gave them the chance to expand their roles and feed off of each other and it brought out the best in them.

‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers – Change in their characters

The subject of dealing with a character change came up, and Greg talked about having to deal with that with the current airing storyline where Leo is blackmailing Sloan Petersen (Jessica Serfaty).

He described Leo as being devilish, and the new writers weren’t able to quite hit the mark with Leo. ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers noticed a shift in Leo and we chalked it up to him being serious for one of the few times since he arrived in Salem.

Instead, it sounds like the writers have made him darker and meaner as he’s been threatening Sloan and blackmailing her in a way Leo may not do.

That makes sense and isn’t surprising as Leo would be a difficult character to write for with his pop culture references and quick wit, and we doubt a lot of people could pull it off.

After all, there are vanilla characters, and then there’s Leo, and he’s as far from vanilla as possible and that’s what we love about him.

What do you think about the recent change in Leo? Is it good or bad? Let us know in the comments below and check back with ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers for the latest updates, spoilers, and speculation around.
