Days of Our Lives’ Greg Rikaart took to Instagram recently to reveal that he’s being shaken down for an absurd amount of money. Would you give your eyeteeth to find out the stunning details? You might just have to!
In a hilarious turn, it’s actually the Tooth Fairy being shaken down — and Rikaart ain’t paying up on the periodontal pixie’s behalf! The actor shared the most adorable handwritten note from his son Montgomery, whom he and hubby Robert Sudduth welcomed in 2016, detailing the demands.
“Dear tooth fare,” the 7-year-old budding extortionist penned on lined notebook paper. “Will you giv me 10$ P.S. The toth is unbr mY Pilow love monte anb thak you so much.”
Just in case the above (or the Instagram post below) is hard to read, the creative and very polite (he even said “thank you!”) missive translates to the following: “Dear Tooth Fairy, will you give me $10? P.S. The tooth is under my pillow. Love, Monte. And thank you so much.” Monte ended his plea with a drawing of what looks like a tooth, a dollar bill (or a burrito) and a chocolate chip cookie. This was clearly very thought out! We think his father’s Days of Our Lives‘ character, master manipulator Leo Stark, would be proud of the effort.
Rikaart, however, wasn’t about to cave to the outrageous monetary request. “My sweet boy… is not getting $10,” he wrote.
“Accessing the tooth is always a challenge,” his former Young & Restless cop-shop boss, Doug Davidson, warned in the comments — while fellow Genoa City neighbor Lauralee Bell and Days of Our Lives co-stars like Kristian Alfonso, Colton Little and Kate Mansi all chimed in with supportive emoji hearts and teeth.
The bulk of the replies from Rikaart’s Instagram followers were fully on Team Monte — demanding that Dad surrender and pony up the dough. As for us? $10?! Nah. We’re with you, Greg. That Tooth Fairy inflation is out of control!
