At the Pub, a stunned Kate tells Roman that Sarah gave birth to their grandchild — and no one told them. Well, except Kayla. Roman wants to go to the hospital, but Kate stops him. Rex had two days to tell them about his daughter, but didn’t. Why shouldn’t they wait to meet her? Roman reminds her how crazy it is having a newborn. Kate thinks it’s more than that. Rex has been squirrely about this whole thing from the beginning. Something’s not right.

In the Square, Chloe overhears Rex tell Philip that Xander is the father of Sarah’s baby. She hides behind the flower cart as Rex explains the whole story to his brother. Rex begs Philip not to tell anyone. Philip assures him he has zero loyalty to his cousin, and he doesn’t want to mess things up for him. Rex appreciates that, especially considering telling Xander would clear a path for him and Chloe.

Xander visits Sarah in the hospital as she holds Victoria. After ensuring mother and daughter are fine, he tells her he’s marrying Chloe today. He wanted her to hear from him. She tells him she and Rex are also getting married today. Of course, she’d want her daughter to have her father’s name, Xander earnestly notes. She shares they’re getting married at the Pub, while Xander shares they’re going to New York to be with Chloe’s family. He hopes his soon-to-be stepson Parker doesn’t hate his guts. Sarah assures him her nephew is very sweet and urges him to be himself, just less dopey. She knows he’ll be a great dad.

She saw what a good dad he was with Mackenzie/Rachel. But he makes bad decisions, and people get hurt. Xander doesn’t want to make the same mistake with Parker. He wants to be the kind of man he can look up to. He knows he’s said it before, but hopefully, this time will be different. She hopes he and Chloe are very happy together. He leaves for his flight. A teary-eyed Sarah lets out a slow breath.

At Titan, Alex is the latest to be offered a job as Vivian’s right hand. He tells her to take her job and shove it. Vivian wonders what she ever did to him. Alex lists the many crimes she’s perpetrated against his family. Despite Vivian invoking his mother, Anjelica, and Uncle Vic, Alex won’t work for the enemy. He leaves.

In the Horton dining room, Justin reads Victor’s will to Maggie. It says in the course of drawing up the new document, upsetting information came to light — his divorce to Vivian never went through. He planned to rectify it A.S.A.P., but in the event of his death, he left 50 percent of his estate to Maggie. Justin embraces her.

It’s painful for Maggie to think their marriage wasn’t real. Justin assures her the love was real — an improperly filed piece of paper doesn’t change that. Maggie doesn’t care about the money. She just doesn’t want Vivian to get everything. Justin can’t wait to see the look on her face when she learns she inherits nothing.

Justin continues reading that the other 50 percent, including controlling interest in Titan, will go to his son. While Victor made arrangements for the medical care of Bo and Philip, the will refers to a son he’s never acknowledged. Victor wanted to make amends for denying him since the day he was born. Victor could no longer keep the secret after visiting Bo and reflecting on his legacy. He planned to tell his son the truth upon his return, but he also documented it so there was no confusion. The attached letter will explain everything.

Maggie reads the letter from Victor’s son’s mother, written shortly after the boy’s birth. In it, she states no one can know Victor is the father of her child. It would cause immeasurable pain to a man they both love. He’d be devastated to learn she lied and allowed him to think their sweet boy is his. He’d also feel betrayed by his own flesh and blood.

At the Pub, Roman agrees that Rex’s behavior has been off. He wonders if Kate has done something to rub him the wrong way. She is known to alienate her kids from time to time. “Don’t I know it,” Philip declares upon entering. He explains Rex is coming there as soon as he picks up Sarah and the baby, but he can’t tell them anything more. Changing the subject, Philip tells them Vivian gave him a job offer, but he turned her down flat. A furious Kate leaves to confront her.

Later, Rex and Sarah bring Victoria to the Pub to meet Roman. Roman is thrilled, but warns Kate is ticked off. Rex isn’t surprised and asks where she is.

Kate shows up at Titan to order Vivian away from Philip. She tells her to find someone else to do her dirty work. “How about you?” Vivian asks. Kate calls her out of her mind. Vivian being in charge is a travesty. Vivian spits that no one can stop her.

Carrying a garment bag, Chloe comes home to Xander packing. Chloe thinks about Rex and Philip’s conversation and then goes to get packed as well. When she returns with her bag, Xander thanks her for looking past his faults and still loving him anyway. He can’t believe he got so lucky. He promises he’ll work hard to prove himself worthy of her love. She tears up. “I’m sorry. I can’t marry you.” She tells him Sarah lied. Rex isn’t the father of her baby. “You are.”

Maggie continues reading the letter that states the child will know Victor as his uncle. “It’s what’s best for everyone, especially little Alexander.” The letter is signed, Sincerely, Anjelica. Justin reels over Alex being the baby boy referred to in the letter — just as Alex enters.
