Meanwhile, Rafe meets with Ava at Tripp and Wendy’s loft, where she explains her urgency to impress Roman in her new job. Rafe, surprised by Ava’s career change, quickly shifts the conversation to Clyde’s book.
Ava confirms that Harris updated her on Clyde’s activities, but Rafe needs her help to uncover a motive for Gil’s murder. Ava insists she knows nothing about Gil or Lee, suggesting hypnosis to jog her memory, though she claims to have come up empty.
